Parenting Tip #734: When feeding your kids something new, don't make extra for yourself. You'll probably have plenty.

It's not like I made them some exotic pan-Mediterranean beetroot salad with mango-pepper chutney. I'm talking frozen banana waffles from Trader Joe's. They love bananas, and they love anything you can put syrup on. Pretty safe bet, right? I made one for each of them and one for myself. Needless to say, I had nearly 3 banana waffles for breakfast this morning, which was probably one more than I needed. Lesson learned. Again.
